Teaching

Teaching is at the heart of our academic work and our mission for academic excellence. You will have lectures and small group tutorials with tutors, giving you a chance to work closely with leading academics in your field. Your studies will be amply supported by the University’s very well resourced library open 7 days a week and our excellent IT network and resources.

Living in Pafos

The university campus is located in Pafos, a city declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The rich historical past and the vibrant cosmopolitan present, the mild climate and the beautiful beaches, the natural landscapes and the unique nightlife make Pafos an ideal place to study and live.

Student Union

The student Union is the hub of the student life at Neapolis, with its rich cultural, social and athletic activities and clubs. In their leisure hours students are involved in a wide range of pursuits including sport, music and drama.

Campus

We are a small enough University to form a warm, inclusive community, but large enough to welcome a wide range of people. Enjoy making new friends while you pursue your favourite activities and if you need help there is always someone on hand, including our very supportive welfare team. The University campus is in the middle of the city of Pafos only 300m from the beautiful beach and a stone’s throw from the archaeological sites and all modern amenities. The peaceful quadrangles that make up the university Campus, house a lively and dedicated student body. The Ariston, the University’s large cafeteria overlooking the University’s swimming pool, is an idyllic place both for relaxation and reflection.

Facilities

We believe that students should study and work in an environment that is conducive not only to their academic development but also to the enhancement of their social skills and physical wellbeing. Learning takes place in state-of-the-art classrooms and amphitheatres equipped with interactive boards and contemporary technology.

Student Housing

Students are offered accommodation in en-suite rooms which are fully-furnished with balconies overlooking the interior landscaped gardens and swimming pool or seaside view. There are communal fully-equipped kitchens and the low monthly rent includes electricity provision and water supply, as well as unlimited wireless internet services.

Sports Facilities

The university campus has its own sports centre with indoor swimming pool, gym, weights room, fitness room, shower and changing rooms, outdoor tennis courts and a swimming pool. Students also have free access to the facilities of the near-by Geroskipou Municipality Sports Centres which includes an Olympic-size swimming pool, gym, football, tennis, basketball and beach-volley courts.

Support

After registering with NUP all students are appointed a personal Academic Tutor who will provide them with continuous academic support towards completing successfully their studies. Concerning financial support students who have difficulties in funding their studies may visit the Course Office for further guidance. Each year a great number of students receive financial aid or scholarships from NUP.
